Citadel Advisory Group is proud to announce that Managing Director, Susan Schell, is the recipient of the 2009 Northern Colorado Women of Influence Award in the Business category. She was among 70 nominees which included the most influential women in Northern Colorado.
“I’ve always been about people,” she said. “And my entire career has been about making environments right for people. That’s my calling, it’s what motivates me and keeps me going, and it doesn’t matter if it’s my family or my work.”
Sue continues to bring people together in her current role at Citadel Advisory Group, helping business owners recapitalize, divest, or plan for exiting their company. She is a licensed Securities Registered Representative, holding the Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
Sue has received many awards over the course of her long and varied career and has served on over 10 advisory boards with the common theme of connecting businesses with the community. She has always been a champion for the advancement of women in the workplace, and has taken her influence global as a Leadership Mentor with the invitation-only International Women’s Forum which directly helps over 4000 women on 5 continents advance in the workplace. Sue has experience in banking, financial planning, and as a Vice President of Human Resources with Advanced Energy, as they progressed from a private to a publically- held company. Most recently Sue taught Graduate business courses at Colorado State University. She is currently working on a book series with her sister with the first entitled Work is Easy, People are Hard.
